Dear Anupama,
Here we see lot of divorces b'coz of their emotions are broken. Emotions play major role in their day to day life with husband, with paretns, with their own children. I do agree life here is more materialistic than natural. But emotions plays major role when relationships are making or braking up.
But where do we care emotions in India. We just slap on his/her face without caring their emotions. Which most of the Indians agree on it.
That's where if we look we dig our past alot and repent most of the times. It's natural but we live mostly in past rather present.
