What is surprising is people get fooled again and again, but still go and vote to get their leaders elected?

This is news item from Indian express today:
A Karnataka special court, trying Jayalalithaa's disproportionate assets case, has written to the Tamil Nadu sessions court to send moveable properties of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, seized in 1996, to Bangalore.
This includes 10,500 sarees, 91 wristwatches, 28 kg jewellery, 41 air conditioners and a high tech bus.
