What is the root cause? It cant be something that happened hundreds of years ago ...
Who will stop a Dalit if he wants to work for 16 hours a day and stand first in the class? But then if its not happening the root cause is that they dont have the zeal .. and why is it so? Because they have an easy way out in terms of reservations even if they dont work hard!
