And by the way Why cant a Pro-Hindu party be secular .. Pro Hindu doesnt mean Anti Minority right? No one would mind if Congress and Pinkos are pro-minority. Let them give employment to minorities and let them make the minorities prosper .. in fact Hindus would welcome it!!! The main problem here is that those parties are taking Anti-Hindu stance for the sake of minorities .. which is definitley not Secularism!! Similarly no one would object if BJOP launches a scheme to uplift the backward minorities .. but calling Jinnah secular just to appease a section of minorities is definitely unacceptable.

Hmm I do see a point in what you are saying .. I do agree with you .. But had they not come to power, they would have lost the cadre (They are now losing it newayz of course due to their misrule) :))

Kiran, (Reg 2nd assumption) what I am saying is this .. Pro Hindu stand could drag BJP only to 175 and not 272. BJP can reach that stage only if more Hindus embrace Hindutwa and for that to happen the RSS will have to do the groundwork .. and more over what I said was from Advani's probable perspective. Lets wait and see whether there will be another "Non-Hidnu-bashing" party erupting soon

Two perspectives to be looked from ... one - Advani knows that there is no alternative for Hindutwa supporters other than BJP. So, even if Advani says Jinnahz the best leader ever, the Hindutwa supporters should vote for the BJP for Shiv Sena is not so strong and they cant Vote for the congress or the Pinko Communist jokers. So, I'm sure he would have done this to get extra muslim votes (Votes of ONLY those muslims who support Jinnah) Two - Hindutwa could not get BJP to the power .. Many Hindus are obviously not bothered about Hindutwa of late - so BJP can not depend on that ... unless VHP rakes up some issue and a mass hysteria is generated among the masses. So, the votes from the other group could turn crucial in the elections and Advani might have thought he could throw a stone!

Mr. Advani's resignation smacks of the usual Indian political drama of getting sympathy votes. I feel it was all stage managed to appease the Muslim voters of India, in preparation for the coming state assembly elections..
