Posted by: Raj Sekhar At: 22, Sep 2004 3:56:32 AM IST cool, thats the trick (n-2)n(n+2) instead of (n+2)(n+4)(n+6)... good crack RS!
Heres another math puzzle (could be the last for today, heads up)
make a pyramid of 15 numbers, 5 at the bottom, 4 on top of it, 3, then 2 and 1 and each number should be a difference of the 2 numbers immediately below it(use numbers from 1-15 only once)! Hope you can visualise it! I'll try to draw...

Posted by: చంటోడు At: 22, Sep 2004 3:17:03 AM IST numbers will be (n-2),n,(n+2)
product will be near to n^3
cuberoor (87000000) = 100 * cuberoot(87) ~ 450 approx
and thhe numbers in the units place of the three numbers will 2,4,6 since in the product ,the units place digit is 8
so trying for 442,444,446 and 452,454,456,i got for the first try
