Dowry is easy money for the guy. And who does not want it? As long as the girls give the dowry, this system will continue.

aa amai la kakunda we shall contribute to the change in the society by first practising what we preach. nenu ini kaburlu chepinanduku, katnam ivanu, tht wud be my contribution; meeru na matalu ardham cheskunaru anaru kabati meeru katnam tiskokandi. bas.
oka manishiki motam society meeda control undakarla, tanaki tana meeda unte ade chaalu :) social change anedi personal change tone ochedi.

i too want the society to change....

then love marriages will automatically elimate all those things....
