confession is needed for our own good and not for the sake of sharing your sins with God!we cofess for our sins to repent and not to repeat so that we can lead a happy life without any guilty feeling for we believe that brooding over past leads to disappointment and depression effecting our present as well as our future!

I doubt it! the statement that one knows his mistake! If one knows it no one likes to reveal it to public for the fear of harasment by others!Fear is the key!
