| satsangham with real seekers too help the participants to observe self and learn the positive changes for himself/herself and so that constant change towards better inner condition only brings one close to the satsangham to such an extent that one feels empty by missing it.

Another aspect we need to keep in mind in selecting a satsangham is if we get any feeling of heaviness or any other negative experience we should not continue to participate and continue what we learnt in satsangham in our own place till we get a chance where we get lightness and calmness the moment we sit in the satsangham,and that is the correct satsangham we have to participate.

If we take the general condition into consideration most of us have such mental deviations once in a while during adverse situations like sadistic,pessimistic,or suicidal but get back to normal level after a while but some can not get back to normal state due to their weak state and i am referring to such catagory of people.

If one wants quick and effective results then meditation at a particular time,place and sitting position are essential.

No not them, but mentally effected (Lunatic tendencies and mentally retarded etc)who sometimes go unchecked get effected by rapid deterioration as a result of meditation, since nerves get direct effect of meditation through impulses which cause vibrations all through the body including the sympathetic nervous system that organises body functions.
More over sane persons who can not be attentive due to divers thoughts in the beginning get regulated and this is the positive effect of meditation.

Normally persons of sound mental frame are allowed to participate in satsangham ,as otherwise people with mental deviations may be adversely effected leading to aggrevation of their problem due to meditation.As far as i know that is the only adverse effect of satsangham and that too on mental deviations .

Guru is only the mediater to make the seeker to to lead him to God and knows verymuch about his role to be a model to his disciple.

Not long back i mentioned in one of these threads about the relationship of master and seeker to that of a loving couple where the seeker who is lover by virtue of his love and devotion ultimately trurns to beloved and master becomes the lover that means the roles reversed.This is the result of the satsangham with true reality seekers.The ultimate result is that once covinced the master (GURU OR GOD)starts running after the seeker to give him what he deserves.

can you eloberate 'con'? but real guru doesnot encourage even touching his feet since that again effects the ego of the disciple.

The wonderful effect of this satsangh in this thread is that at least during the reading and posting we are remembering God and that is again sat sangham.
