| Government will try all possible ways for the development of women

LIE OF THE MILLENIUM.
------ A GOVT TRIES ONLY THOSE THINGS THAT WOULD GET THEM RESULTS IN 5 YEARS SINCE IT DOESNT KNOW WHETHER IT WOULD LAST BEYOND 5 YEARS... in this case the only quick fix solution to show some result is "Reservations" even though its harmful inthe long term

Imparting Education is different from Giving Reservations ... while the first one amounts to encouraging the weaker people, the second one is nothing but making people Parasites!
and Just because Govt is doing it it need not be correct .. Govt of India does what is GOOD for the Administration in the short term ..

Posted by: Mr. bhashyakara sastry cherla At: 27, Dec 2005 10:04:08 PM IST The main hinderances that the women face in the society are:
1. Resistance from the family (for the family is denying her right to get educated/employed)
2. Social Taboos (for the society is denying her rights)
3. Lack of will/interest (due to the prevailing social conditions)

Government through various Economists, Sociologists and other experts have identified the above hindrances for the contribution of backwardness in the women.
In the year 1983 itself the government has introduced the schemes of adult education. In this scheme education was imparted to men and women separately in the villages.
In the year 1993 the scheme was once again known as "Vyojana Vidya".Now the government has introduced the scheme as "AKSHARA BHARATHI".
These were done by the government because government wants to impart education to the women. In the same manner reservations also were given to them because this may tempt the family members and send their women for educatioin or employment.
Government will try all possible ways for the development of women - may be imparting adult education or giving reservations for women in the educational institutions or giving reservations in the employment etc. and what ever things that may be felt good for the development.

Instead of all this, why not create more awareness among women and encourage them to take the tough tasks up?
Its like this ..
The main hinderances that the women face in the society are:
1. Resistance from the family (for the family is denying her right to get educated/employed)
2. Social Taboos (for the society is denying her rights)
3. Lack of will/interest (due to the prevailing social conditions)
If these three things are addressed properly and quickly, it wouldnt take more than 6-7 years to see the first batch of women really making it big ( I am talking about the women next door .. not the CEO of Biocon or the Director of ICICI)
But the Govt needs to spend more and should provide more logistics to the people if it wants to handle this .. hence its looking out for the short-term solutions

(You create a separate race for women and do whatever you want .. btu if you declare somethign as a common race between men and women .. then dont reserve any medals for women)

1.Conduct EAMCET examinations SEPARETELY for men and women.List out ranking SEPARETELY for men and women. The number of engineering seats in Andhra Pradesh is around 60,000 for all. Then you have to reserve 33% of the engineering seats for women. That means 20,000 engineering seats.
2.Conduct EAMCET examinations JOINTLY for men and women.List out ranking JOINTLY for men and women.Reserve 33% of the engineering seats for women. That means 20,000 engineering seats.
In both the cases women are getting 20,000 engineering seats and the same women will get the seats either followed as in the first case or in the second case.
It is administration and infrastructure wise feasible for the government to follow the method of conducting EAMCET examinations jointly for men and women, because it is not the physical race but it is the mental race.So is also in all other Admissions.

The Supreme Court has struck down the provisions regarding the Reservations, due to lack of legislation from the Executive Part. Even if that legislation touched the Basic Structure of the Constitution, they also the SC can struck down. But politics everywhere...Politicians , a dangerous specie in India, can do anything, if the people of India slept for long years !But regarding Women's REservation Bill, the way is o.k if women in INdia were united.

Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 19, Dec 2005 10:58:30 PM IST There are some to handle hazardous waste ! It doesn't matter even though it is stinking. Why because it is bio degradbale.
