But as you compared with raiways that rivers authority should also come under central govt?
even railways projects should get state govt approval.
Just becasue of political disputes we can't stake millions of peoples fortune.

Well nagesh, I appreciated the crisp way in which he presented his views. I may not agree with all of his views but there is nothing wrong in appreciating a well written article ..right?
He did raise some valid points .. but the issue here is how critical are they, compared to the needs of the people of India. Most of the decisions in such mattrs would be taken based on the answers to questions like "Whats the lesser evil?"
Interlinking or Not .. First nationalize all the rivers so that the state level politicians dont politicize water problems .. later think about Interlinking ..

and well I feel one partial solution for this stupid water sharing problem is the Nationalization of Rivers .. all the rivers should be directly under the control of the Central govt, like the Railways - so that the local pressures are minimized.

I will brief about the below mentioned points
1) What is your suggestions in the article to preserrive the water going into sea.
2) you mentioned about the cons in the rainy season in the article. what about the benifits at other times.
3) karnataka tamil naadu is fighting for krisna and kaveri water.... if you join kauveri and penna it will help tamil nadu and andhra....
4) We shouldn't comapare every minute thing with china.....becasue china's media is powerfull but 50% is bogus.-- we can't compare your aticle with their.
5) if water polition is happening in Delhi and pune. And if it will spread to other parts of country like andhara, tamil nadu and karnataka... why are the other states opposing....we are ready take that ditch....
6) All these environmentalists are agitating in the name of relation. Instead of agitating for al these 25 years.. if the project started it might have changed their lives. Some has to suffer..if the older generation suffered...probably the current generation might have enjoyed the fruits.....
becasue we might not have enjoed the fruits of freedom... with out our older generation suffer.
If i had made harsh comments please don't mind.....If any where I hurt u i am sorry....
