It's better to be silent instead of dancing with provocative words (like tantAnu, pAripO.... etc., chadavaDAniki asahyamgA unTundi! ). Only those people who are fearsome issue such kind of statements anywhere. There is no valid point there. People just fail to perceive the reality. It's a fact. Hence, I kept calm.

Posted by: Bahud♥♥rapu Baatasaari At: 18, Oct 2004 12:41:33 PM IST Mr. BB,
I apologise for any inconvience I caused. Well, I never followed this discussion and I do not know what are Mr. vachaspatis veiws. I saw a statement by one of my friends and gave a 'general' feministic view of it. It is not my response to the series of arguments going on here. Sorry for jumping in middle. Have fun :)

Well, I don't know what you exactly meant and whom to. But, "filling pages with unnecessary satires" is not the right sentance you can place here. This thread, in fact meant for that. When some people with no proper brains fill this out, then some more people need to cut it by placing satires that are (un)necessary.
Coming to reading some feminist writings, I'm not talking about feminist's views. I was only commenting on people who make ambiguous statements. This person is not a feminist. So, how do you want us to percieve his comments? He meant that we need to understand him and know him to understand his statements clearly, which is not possible. Just by placing a simple statement without explanation is not sufficient to avoid misunderstandings/incorrect perceptions. What some people here expects is "some explanation" on statements. Just by saying "sexual freedom" will not make every body to understand what he exactly meant. Hope you got it.
SDB, thats his style. When some one raises a "valid point", then he keeps quite.
(Saleem, this is also an (un)necessary satire).

If you have time and pateince please go through some feminist readings, rather then filling pages with unnecessary satires, which is not even fun anymore :)
