Annie Besant belonged to (perhaps the founder of) Indian National Congress.
Sonia belongs to Indian National Congress (Indira), which is in no way related to the original Congress, either by precept or by practice.
India need not be Indira and vice versa.
Then, she is yet to exonerate herself from many issues. She took hell lot of time to become an Indian citizen. That itself shows her seriousness for the people of this country as well as her own double standards.
You are quoting the examples of other countries. Nice, make sure whether their existing laws permit such a thing.
Jayalalitha is 'darling' of Tamils as on date. Though she is of Kannada origin, she never talked in favour of Kannadigas!
Can we expect Sonia to do this much atleast?

I prefer Geographical Boundaries. I also very much appreciate our division of states based on language not by religion.(inside India). Ye desam lo pudithe,perigithe aa desam ki devote kaavaali. Indians nu America Green Card teesukunnaa, they love India more than America. This is true. Kaabatti I think Natural Citizenship is a Criteria. By birth.
I also want to place another doubt here: States ki more autonomy ivvaalsina avasaram undaa? enduku? I don't know why, I support Central Government's control over states.

U r right.But Motherteresa is a social worker and she helped poor people and who need help.It wont harm anybody.
But being a sesitive position like Prime Minister and President or Army Chief its different.R u ready to give President post or Army chief post ,if Pakisthan president comes to india and gets citizen ship after some time.Think over it..Is One billion indians cant give a single political leader to th great mother INDIA.

I agree with Mr.Ravi M that it is a shame to the country if she becomes PM.....
We indians apart from adopting western way of fashions, they should learn certain things from other countries.[like in US even if you become a Citizen you can never be the Prisident or Vice president of that country....].

Lakshmi prashanti mee analysis wrong...u said india supported LTTE....then what is IPKF and why LTTE killed rajiv gandhi, it's not india which supporting LTTE rather it's some people who r supporting them , but when it comes to pakistan the whole Govt is supporting militency in India, so there's lot of differencr private public supporting and Govt. supporting.
coming to Fiji, 55% of Fiji's population are indians.... does india have 55% of italinas??????
coming to senetors in US no one can become President of USA if he or she is born in some other country that means no indian can ever become a president of USA , if a indian takes citizenship he can just become senetor or some minister he can't even become governor for some state. so there's lot of difference. and no double standards.
and the people who became presidents or senetors in other countries worked hard to acquire that position, so people of india has every right to ask sonia Gandhi what she accomplished in her life as an indian?????
If at all sonia gandhi becomes prime minister it's slap on our face it's slap for all 100 crores indians...... coz by electing her we are agreeing that we're not capable of ruling our country......... and don't forget Mother Terisa got Bharata Ratna if we're maintaing double standards then she would've never got that award.
