Posted by: Mrs. kala ch At: 11, Oct 2002 3:04:13 PM IST having 2 rams .. thatz not the problem.(I've 64+64+128).
It may happen due to driver problem in the OS.
Driver ...
example sound card driver, mouse driver.
(It is a software that interact with the physical hardware).
It may be one cause can't say itz 100% due to driver.
If u r getting the problem frequently .. reinstall the OS.

I haven't gone through the full thread...however if I get it correct.....you are getting BSD even when U open only IE....number of windows really doesn't matter.
In most of the cases it is the hardware setting problem. Most likely the setting of clock speed is not correct..Ask your hardware vendor to check it out.....
Or else your OS installation has some mismatch (like spoilt data areas)........format and reload....
let me know if it helps

but i doubt with the compatability of the 2 rams i used (256 each) do u know about this problem??
Posted by: Mrs. kala ch At: 11, Oct 2002 1:40:26 PM IST Hi ..
It occurs when there are multiple programs running simultaneously , in typical scenarios.
But as ur system in 512 MB ram it shouldnt be a problem. Try re-installing NT once.
It had solved the problem.
If u use only for borwsing purpose .. use Opear borwser (opera.com).Mine is also NT sys and 256 RAM only.I open appx. 20-25 windows + my applicatons. Then also I can work freely.

i think it has got sufficient ram, infact this problem started after i upgraded my system with more ram, now it has got 512mb of ram in two slots each 264. is that not sufficient?? for just 4 or 5 browsers(windows) to open and run at a time????
Posted by: Mrs. kala ch At: 11, Oct 2002 10:26:07 AM IST aman!!!
what do u mean by no memory available. which kind of memory??
i any how have to restart the system.
but it occurs very frequet alomost when i browse the net.
is that because of too many applications running at the same time?
can u give me more info on this.
thanks for ur kind reply
