| When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity.
To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300 C.
The Russians meanwhile just used a pencil!!

Ghee, a staple in so many Indian diets, is something taken completely for granted. But in what is likely to come as a shock to many people, the Madhya Pradesh government has discovered that the ghee we eat may actually be made of eggs, potatoes, even adhesives.
The Madhya Pradesh police has busted a gang selling spurious ghee and found stocks worth lakhs of rupees.
"They made a gravy using eggs and the essence. This gave it a greasy texture. Mashed potatoes were added to thicken the consistency of the mixture. The gang had been operating for two years and were transporting the ghee across north India," say the police.
Two people have been arrested so far but the factory owner is still on the run and the workers are not willing to disclose his whereabouts.
"I do not know what they made in the factory. I do not know the owners," said one of the arrested workers.
Such seizures prove that items used by people to gain good health, can very easily become health hazards.
