Indian insurance industry is having demand-supply gap in the area of actuaries, and definetly it will be an excellent profession, if one seriously considers about it.
P.S. But it is for those who have strong Mathematical and Statistical background.

Actuaries provide commercial, financial and prudential advice on the management of assets and liabilities - most especially where long term management and planning are critical factors.
Actuaries work in Finance & investment - General insurance - Life insurance - Pensions - Social policy
One should be diciplined while investing .
There are two factors that drive the stock markets i.e , fear and greed .
If one has good control on any of these , they would be lessening their risk.
The indian stock market is not matured yet. The market lacks transperency . One basic point to be looked at the stock market these days is that , its not the strength of the indian economy that has helped the sensex cross 6000 points mark. The basic factor being, the FII's pumping money into our markets. So understand this and be careful .
Dont put all your eggs in one basket .
