General Forum: Information Technology | Information Technology will be a part of daily life | |
| Let me put it this way,
For all great foreign nations the problem is for them, Human Labor is the costliest.
SO they always wanted to put in money, in automating everything that is done on a regular basis, there by they are eliminating the human labor cost. IT played a big role here in Automating and eliminating Human Labor.
When it comes to household, a machine nothing other than making u sit always in ur home, No more people enjoy outdoor games much, They want computer games now.
For us in India, Human Labor is the cheapest.
we can always efford to live on human labor.
We need IT to play a big role in making sure that the none of the public money goes to personal pockets.
Posted by: Mr. Ravinder At: 6, Mar 2003 10:03:12 PM IST I think it will take atleast next ten years to be part of our lives (In India).
Don't think of only from the big cities, India is not about Big cities, our major chunk lies in villages and small towns.
So really when we speak of IT becoming part of their lives, I think it is atleast 10 years ahead of time.
First of all, we need to talk of basic utlities for common man, I think atleast Education is the basic criteria for a person to understand about IT.
Also, If we want to eliminate Towns and Villages, then its already a part of our lives.

Posted by: Mrs. Gaya arsha At: 4, Mar 2003 6:03:56 AM IST Hello Everybody,
Now that we are in the verge of moving everything into IT, I would want to know how comfortable are the educated lot with online money transactions using credit cards. There would be a tomorrow where U would have a provision of paying everything and anything online. Does ppl realize that standing in Queues for paying a telephone bill or an electricity bill is hell of a job and do they realise the imp of saving time by doing that online? or do they think that instead of shopping/transacting online it would be a healthy exercise by physically going out there and do it all by themselves? India is an IT superpower in the World market and do U think this is going to be a smooth transition and is it recommended by the people of India that they be provided with these online payments for everything related to taxes and bills before the rest of the world implements it and we follow them or do they still need a lot of awareness in this regard.
All suggestions and comments are appreciated.
