Sometimes, I take a look back
And wonder how I did it.
I was lost for a short while,
Though I won’t always admit it.
I’ve begun to find my way,
I think everything will be just fine.
As a matter of fact, I know it will;
I have to give it enough time.
I’ve figured out that life
Can hardly be called perfect
And that you should take your chances.
They’re more than likely worth it.
There will be days that are rough
And ones that seem to last forever,
Or times when friends seem distant
As though the bonds are severed.
Whenever you feel down
And everything seems misleading
Look deep inside yourself
And find something to believe in.
When tasks feel overburdening
Take a minute to smile.
The distance from happiness
Is always a few miles.
Through every single conflict
There comes a sure resolution.
Through every state of uncertainty
There comes a cure for confusion.
Because when it seems like you’re lost
And you can’t find your way
Remember that through every dark night
There comes the light of day
