We all understand the necessity of moulding the younger generation as to bring the feeling of oneness in their little minds. I don't know when could we achieve this.
In the institution(University) where i have studied people used to go for caste based picnics for a day in Kartheeka masam. Professors would also join them. Isn't shamefull ?
About Helping Others, I love the feeling of helping others. will be happy if they recognize it, doesn't matter even otherwise.
Let me thank Ananth for sharing his experiences and for his concerns.

I can see what you are saying. This caste-based biasing has to go..it is ridiculous that in this day and age we still care for all this. Good to know that you are still optimistic about helping others. I have burned my hands and changed my perspective. Now I don't trust people till proven innocent :)

As long as you recognize this and take pride in what you do... nothing should matter. But if you don't feel comfortable with it and feel bad to say that you work in a motel to folks back at home, then it is wrong. You are deceiving yourself...and that is not healthy!
About the one-ness in Telugu people, I see it all the time. Not only here, but in India too. It is funny how after coming here also we worry about caste and stuff and have successfully managed to break ourselves into ATA & TANA :) May be we are like crabs.. they say you know "crab-in-the-bucket" mentality.. pulling down the other crab that is trying to escape...
May be it has to do with the comparison math skills that we inherit. Somehow we are not happy if a telugu guy is making it big. Instead of being proud of it, we try to throw dirt at him.
