| yes..thats right...I never opposed n Noone opposes adaptation...if it has to change it will change :) You should learn to tackle bowling attacks..and create new shots..But Dont you think cricket shouldnt extinct from the face of earth? You dont want it right? Exactly my point is...dont let this classical music extinct :) Experiment, create n make more ragas... :) But dont let it die out :) Manakunna amulayamaina sampada idi :)

Posted by: Saleem At: 13, Feb 2003 0:04:53 AM IST If you are learning cricket, you need not learn all the cricketing shots that have been played right from the first game. Ofcourse no body stops from it. But, You should learn to tackle the current bowling tactics. And probably on that way you will create new shots. Moreover it is continuous process. Over all this, what remains constant is the 'ADAPTATION'.
Posted by: urchinni M At: 12, Feb 2003 1:52:29 PM IST Creativity is not dependent on the mechanics of creation. Some may be poor at grammar, but not void of ideas and thoughts. Grammar and language are only mechanics of expression. Not the real content itself.

I agree, that some people are not good at any thing, neither western nor classical, but some of them do create some thing new, and I believe we should be open to appreciate that. And I do believe that everybody is creative. Our folks songs stood apart from classical music in terms of the basic tenets of music, but they serve the purpose of music. Infact they are just created out of a purpose. They are indeed very creative expressions. Aren't they?

Posted by: Saleem At: 12, Feb 2003 1:16:35 PM IST We r toally talking abt different points here. whats common between hussian n aarthi "creativity"...na badhanta ee janala ki creativity lekunda potundani...Indian classical music lo vunna creativity ni artham chesukokounda western venta badi parugulu teestunnaru...thats ok and let ask even they know abt western music to the extent of its "Creativity"? . NO.... art anedi just mere fashion ayipoyindi..u can not wipe off these arts from face of earth...my point is people doesnt even know what art is? :) they stick to medicore music...they dont see high standards n go for them :) and aarthi when she grows up n wants shape ..she really studies other arts :)
Posted by: Saleem At: 12, Feb 2003 1:15:28 PM IST Obviously NOT. My comment does not mean it. My point is that you need to understand the CURRENT, but need not explore all its past. It doesn't obviate the need of learning basics. Prananthi, a 6 year old girl created a painting just with her crayons, about her scholl environment. The great painter Hussain stood breathless at the paintless and gave a special prize aswell. And it was sold for 6 Lakhs in an exhibition last week.
Thatz the power of expression of your feelings, even if you don't know any thing about the way you can express it. It applies to every art.
Posted by: urchinni M At: 12, Feb 2003 1:05:56 PM IST exactly...so follow some medicore things which u dont even know to depth nc all it new culture? :)
Posted by: Saleem At: 12, Feb 2003 12:57:00 PM IST There is no one standard, which doesn't change with times.
Posted by: urchinni M At: 12, Feb 2003 12:55:54 PM IST n where do the standards come from? :)
