Cricket and Sports: Anything on Sports | Why Indians are like this? | |
| India will definetly win a gold in the next Olypics.
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 12, Mar 2005 9:20:31 AM IST Is it media or the public awareness?
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 12, Feb 2005 5:08:59 PM IST a simple reason is "Indians expect more"
they r not havin confidence b'coz their players play well...but they feel tht they r too patriotic tht they shud think only of winning and not of losing at anytime..
they don see how good is the player or is the coaching given is sufficient??
and yeah once they get any medal in it..they r given the respect as a gold medal winner and b'coz the other way of advertisin is giving money...many organisations will declare cash prize and what not...but who will take care of those players who have the caliber but lose their nerve when they cudn't do their best ??
we shud seriously think abt this..don u think there is a need??

Posted by: Mr. anilkumar veeragandham At: 5, Mar 2004 6:29:17 PM IST hello all
this is a good discussion group. i wonder why it fell silent... as for corruption, this is the problem of almost all south east asian countries. but then, we cannot forget nations like hongkong and singapore which have done away with it. but we cannot ignore the fact that india is a much bigger country and with a number of religions and a number of political parties, the chances of chaos increases. i am not trying to find excuses for the inherent inefficiencies, but we must take these factors also into account when we talk about ways of curbing corruption in our country.
Posted by: Ms. G Sunita At: 18, Apr 2003 7:31:14 AM IST i admit the fact that there is hell lot of curruption in india!!
we have a black spot. but think of other nations too!!
we have lesser crime rate compared to usa!all of them have their own loopholes!instead of magnifying it, lets be optimistic and look at the better sides we have!

Posted by: Mr. Sameer At: 9, Mar 2003 10:58:23 PM IST hello yuga..it doesnt happen all the time.. we are not that great time that aussies also come and give u money to lose..pls dont tell all these silly reasons.
Posted by: Mr. Suresh At: 9, Mar 2003 3:16:49 PM IST I am wondering y some of this indian people are behaving like this. If a team loses a match they will treat them as dead bodies and if the same team wins they treat them as idols.
Is this fair?
Someone needs support only if he is down and dejected but not when he is in good condition. Please consider this.
