Good Grief Grief is a natural part of life. The feelings result when sustaining losses on many dreams levels such as the loss of dreams, personal property, friendships, or a loved one through death or separation. So, too, these feelings result whether you initiated the change in your life, feel it is positive, or not. Grief is indicators that there is something you are going through. Because of the grief being an internal part of loss, you may feel like something is wrong with you, but there is not. Usually what feels wrong are the associations you have with the event of your loss and how it makes you feel about your self-worth. Depending upon the significance of the loss, finding ways to work through it may be helpful. Such as.. Sharing your grief – Relief may come from sharing with others. Identify your losses with one who cares. Find people who are supportive of you and your feelings. Call a friend whom you feel comfortable with, and have a long chat. Accept your feelings – You may have a wide range if emotions anything from anger to laughter, to self guilt or blaming others. Your loss is of great importance. Spiritual outlet – Prayer, meditation or being out in the nature may be another way to express your grief. Personal Reflection – Exercise helps a lot. State the loss, identify as many losses related to the main source of your grief as possible. Let the negative self talk be replaced with the truth of who you are. Be kind to yourself. Know that it is ok to change yourself and your routine. Allow yourself time – How we spend time as a great impact in the recovery process. Identify the difficult times such as birthdays, Holidays, weekends or so and plan ahead for these times. Finding a new way to go forward in the present and future, such as making something new which you want to do for yourself, will help you mend your broken heart. BE NOT AFRAID OF GOING SLOWLY.
