The first time i saw you my knees felt weak
the further you moved the closer i wanted to sneak
i was lost in a dream i always wished to seek
nothing could awake me not even a thorns tweak
the rush of blood in my veins the skipping of my heart
the beauty i saw in you was seven worlds apart
i wanted to say "hello" i wanted to say "hi"
by the time i got near, you had wished your friend goodbye
i just smiled and thought may be next time i will try
that night i gazed at the moon and all i could see is you
i felt a bliss of true love that i never knew
i closed my eyes and plead to God
if he could give her a clue
I stood under the tree love struck hoping that you will pass by
holding a rose and a card wondering what to say if someone asks why?
then you transpired from a group of friends like a moon behind the clouds
i knew not your name, i knew not your where abouts
so what if i do not know your name
it was nothing to feel ashamed
for if you call a rose by any other name
it would still smell sweet and same
lost in the thoughts i realized she was almost near
my heart was sulking and sinking with a gripping fear
i had to say it now but i did not know how
i waved my hand to get her attention somehow
she started walking towards me wondering who is he?
i gave her the rose and said "you are so beautiful and sweet"
as the birds on the tree started to tweet.
she felt so speacial i thought, that her eyes filled with tears
she asked me not to move and said "please wait here,
i want you to meet my boyfriend he must be somewhere near"
I knew not what to say..my heart was split in two..
i was drowned in the ocean of love which was deep and blue
i looked up in the sky to hold on to someone i knew
God take me in your arms i pleaded
and i will never ask anything again from you
I left the place with a bleeding heart
but her memories would never part.
