General Forum: Health | private medical colleges vs govt medical colleges | |
| In the past years private colleges depend on Govt.Hospitals; Now they come up with their own curriculum, hospitals and staff. Nursing colleges introduced; This prevented Malayali nurses and teachers inflow into the state.
Though AP have many graduates, post-graduates & doctorates many institutions , hospitals depend on Malayalam Staff; It's pathatic.
Ofcourse now time has changed everything to a different style which is acceptable to the public as well as Govt.
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 6, Jun 2004 8:15:34 PM IST At present getting admissiion to B.A,OR B.Com.or B.sc is not at all difficult. The situation is different in 50's and 60's. There are very limited colleges. one college per district!!! But now...we can find junior and degree colleges everywhere. Due to this, Passing a normal B.A,OR B.Com.or B.sc is not at all great as compared to 50's. Likewise getting admission and just passing Engineering/medicine may not get them good job/practice(ultimately the charm of a course depend on the job prospectus). Then students with good merit will get admission in reputed colleges and find good job or practice or they may pursue further studies, others just they will acuire qulification. When everybody is engineer/doctor again there will be competetion.(the previous fame of studying engineering at present some what declined).
THE UNEMPLOYMENT WILL NOT CEASE JUST BECUAUSE EVERYBODY IS ENGINEER OR DOCTOR, PREVIOUSLY THEY ARE HOLDING A B.A.OR B.sc or B.COM AND UNEMPLOYED AND NOW THEY MAY HAVE B.E or some other qulification.

DUE TO COMPETETION BETWEEN THESE EDUCATION(BUSINESS)INSTITUTES, SOME INSTITUTES MAY (AS A STRATEGY FOR PROFITS)FOCUS ON STANDARDS OR QUALITY OF EDUCATION. But many other firms may not focus on quality of education strategy. Therefore we will have Doctors(/engineers)without sufficienct knowledge. Perhaps the parents(the society) also wanted this only. Parents first priority is to make thier son/daughter a doctor or engineer not quality of education. When the society mentality is like this, there will be demanad for these institutes

Posted by: Mr. Madhu Seshanand At: 9, Jun 2003 11:04:10 AM IST Private colleges for medical studies can be allowed as the GOVT alreday allowing in other areas. Now we are having many engineering colleges, and easily one can get admission for engineering. The charm or fame of engineering course is somewhat declined due to this. The same fate we can expect for medical courses too. But it is ok.We will have more engineers and Doctors. The question is only cost of study.
