General Forum: Information Technology | Doubt ... | |
| Hi Madhu,
Further, we have already got this info from our past experience with the system as I could able to touch the problem and no link aggregations taking place.
Anyways, the ports would not validate from the systems end.
Let me know some info that follows:

Thank you very much ...but no need 2 chk that now...i got the awnser.
herez the expalnation reg' that...
when u try to create a vlan with two ports in two different Link Aggregations, OR when u try to create a Link Aggregation with two ports in two differnt VLANs, the Command line interface should restrict the entry or if u r using SNMP it should validate the values thr & should reject the entry. It is not possible to valdiate this in either Link aggreagtaion module or in VLAN module.
:-)
Thank you 4 spending time on this

Posted by: Mrs. MadhaviReddy Madhu At: 26, Jul 2003 8:53:38 AM IST When a switch decides where the frame should be sent, it passes the frame out the appropriate port (or ports). You can think of a switch as a device creating instantaneous connections between various ports, on a frame-by-frame basis.
Use #show interface (interface name) on router, to determine an interface utilization. Several fields will help you here like Load, Packets Input/Output, and so on..
try this, pls revert back if you have any concerns,
Hi Madhavi,
FYI !!. When you look at the port status, it will read "errDisable." You must fix the configuration problem and then manually take the port out of errDisable state. Some newer software versions and later—have the capability to automatically re-enable a port after a configurable amount of time spent in the errDisable state..
As ever,
Kiran
