Posted by: Mr VAKA SRINIVASA REDDY At: 9, Nov 2001 11:16:40 PM IST Hi all...some of u i think have misunderstood me .......what i was trying to say was all those great leaders who knew the problems faced by our country, tired to solve them and those problems never deterred them to serve thier mother land. So in the present assuming most of us know what india is facing, we should not get discouraged and start doing some good things.
And why not why can't we depend on our intellctual and spiritual culture? Swami vivekanada was a spiritual leader ....but every sentence he spoke still inspires people for eg he said"religion is not for empty stomachs" ......similarly "awake arise and stop not till your goal is reached"......Take bhagavadgeeta...there are so many things that we can learn from geeta(again assuming people have atleast some knowledge about that) " do your work and don't expect the result" i try to do some good to the socitey and the result may not be to my satisfaction . So this sould not deter me from continuing my work.
One more thing which i personally learned from geetha...."what is not yours will never be yours and what is yours will never be denied to you"....yes this is true.....i tried and i worked hard to get a medical seat and i did not get that but thats not the end of my life(as most students think) ......i tired some thing else and i acheived it . What i mean to say is when we are deppressed and distressed there is nothing wrong in seeking solace in our spirituality and philosophy. Definitely these are not "mittavedantam" or escaping from realities.
All of us talk about illeteracy but how many of us are working for that? How many of us are trying to educate our servant maids? If our servant maid dosen't turn up we expect her daughter to come and work on that day. Why can't we spend one hr in educating our servant instead of seeing serials like kalankita and idi katha kadu which have no end. And ofcourse as said by madhu " change should come from minds of people". ANd one more thing iam not criticising any one or the views given by any one but all these things are my observations in day today life.......

Question raised by Mr.Indian Patriotic is to think twice and thrice before answering it.
We all know we have so many problems in our motherland and it was there in the past and some problems will be there in future also. Though we have so many problems we still rule the world with our intellectual thinking.
Exactly right here we have to think about present problems. Actually all problems are coming with illiteracy in our country though we have good resources and intellectual brains.
Take all other countries though they are not so developed in all aspects they don't have much corruption and bribe system simply because they achieved 90% literacy. At least our people can read and write of their mother tongue that should do wonders in my opinion. Because they will come to know what is going on around them.
As an educated youth we must do something for this to achieve 100% literate state as like kerala.
The second most important problem is corruption. Everybody want their work should be done at any cost & when they are in trouble they will search for so many alternatives... why so? we should be patient and why we are not fighting for the right justice, we have so many forums and courts. Again you will tell me that there is also corruption. But there also we only the people who are taking the bribe or doing corruption. So the change should come in the minds of the people.
Third problem which is most dangerous is our government. Lack of literacy our people are simply believing the magic words of our cheap politicians and they are not utilising the power of vote to select a good leader. Vote is a most powerful commodity which we have but we are not taking it as that much serious even the educated sector also.
This list will go on.... because we have so many problems but most of them we can resolve with the literacy and some of them with right approach.
Anyway I invite all our friends should participate in this and share their views and do something to solve the problems.
Don't say that if we don't solve the problems also our country will be ahead of others because of intellectual and spiritual powers. No doubt if we solve some of our important problems we will be number one developed country in the world. No body can beat us in any issues.
Please come forward to achieve that.........

As u all know, we need to control the population and simultaneously eradicate corruption from our society. Every one know about this and govt is spending tons for the development but still we r unable to come under the category of developed countries.
One of the ways i think is to water the seed of patriotism in the hearts of all Indians.
People who think that they r patriotic, Instead of just thinking and talking, must do something constructive for our country.
As media is playing a major role in educating people, lets request TV channels and Film industry to concentrate more on makin movies and TV serials like ROJA, BORDER, SARFAROSH, LAGAAN, GADAR...etc
Lets continue.............
