No objections on treating children from Pakistan. But neglecting needy children in India..is a pity. Karnataka Govt(in fact anyone) which contributed to the needs of Noor..can also something for the Mysore Boy.

2 newspaper articles appearing on the same day: India to fund treatment of 20 Pak. children By Amit Baruah NEW DELHI July 24. Noor Fatima has opened Indian doors for other Pakistani children. Nine days after the two-and-a-half-year-old was operated upon for congenital heart disease at a Bangalore hospital, the Government today announced that it would foot the bill for 20 other Pakistani children requiring medical care. The Government has officially acknowledged what has been an open and welcome secret — that Noor has captured the imagination of the people of India and Pakistan. As she recovers in hospital, the External Affairs Minister, Yashwant Sinha, told the Pakistani High Commissioner, Aziz Ahmed Khan, in person that New Delhi would also facilitate the process of issuing visas for Pakistani children wanting to come to India for medical treatment. The External Affairs Ministry spokesman, who gave an account of this meeting, said that Mr. Sinha had conveyed this to Mr. Khan ``taking into account the popular response in India to the Noor Fatima case''. ``The Government has also decided at this stage to fully fund the travel, stay and medical treatment of 20 Pakistani children. The details will be worked out through our High Commission in Islamabad,'' he added. Clearly, Noor has been able to accomplish what diplomats might fail to do on occasion. She has shown that the future of India and Pakistan lies in a cooperative future; not in confrontation. In the past, too, Pakistanis have availed themselves of medical facilities in India. But baby Noor is different. She came on the ``dosti bus'' with her parents, who have shown a new face of Pakistan to India and Indians. ============================================= No one cares for this 'Noor' Mysore: In a small village in south India, a little boy with congenital heart disease is fighting the disease. But the problem is not medical, but financial, as his farming family does not have enough funds for the heart operation. Noor Fatima, the little Pakistani girl with a hole in heart, rode the bus to India for a heart surgery in Bangalore. She enjoyed mass public and media attention. Her successful heart operation bridged millions of hearts in India and Pakistan, but this little "Christ" here is waiting for human intervention to save his life. The seven-month-old Joel, lovingly called little Christ, was born with the heart ailment. Nirmala Rani and J Albert, his farmer parents from a tiny settlement in HD Kote Taluk, 80 kms from Mysore, are running from pillar to post to get their child treated for the heart disease. They are hoping to get the same surgery for their son as Noor Fatima did. The parents went around all the big hospitals in cities, but in vain. The hospitals have demanded a huge sum of money for the operation and that led them to take refuge in God. They have two grown-up children and the third baby, Joel, is the apple of his mother's eyes. Nirmala Rani says, "They say my son has to undergo heart operation, which costs a lot. We are farmers and we earn everyday and eat." She takes the baby to the church every day and hopes for godly help to save her baby. She expects help from people to get her son operated. She says that she read about Noor Fatima in the newspapers and wants the same help from the hospitals. "I read about Pakistani child getting free treatment in papers and I think why should not my little Christ get a free operation? We hope our child will also get the free operation. We went to all hospitals but in vain. We are pushed out for funds. We are farmers and we have to earn and eat every day. I only hope God will help us." ANI ========================================== so what are our priorities?
