| yeah i know that kiran ...i wanna test the RSTP impelentaion here(in my company) ..so i need A packet gen which helps me 2 test this ...
anyway ... no my prob is solved ..i only wrote a small C code ...itz working Ok da ...

I am not sure in linux reg the issue, but according to my understandings RSTP protocol helps packets to move forward i mean receive/transmit in L2 switch.
Beyond this I may not elaborate! and since u r trying own packets under SUT, How could u able to manage, is it an kind of simulation/

Any packet that your computer picks up on one network and sends to another goes through the FORWARD chain.Pls let me know if your looking for the config in Firewall, i mean 'iptables'?.

I am in need of a Packet generator(for a linux machine) which allows me to edit the packet received & pump the same to the network. Just like 'Iris' in Windows. If you have any idea about this type of packet generator. please let me know as soon as possible
