Posted by: Mr. jogarao pilla At: 26, Dec 2003 7:35:47 PM IST Well I look up to my religion to draw meaning to whats happening these days. All the worlds events are going as predicted by my religion. This is in addition to the assurance of salvation I was given by God, who said that the price for my sins has been paid for already. I just have to accept and step into his acceptance.
My religion was relevant, is relevant, will be relavent whatever time of history you take. Thats what I would look for in a religion

Posted by: Mr. jogarao pilla At: 30, Oct 2003 3:47:10 PM IST u r right and that is why i have all along been stating that the relevence of religion has been lost due to the off shoot of somany beliefs and paths subsequent to hinduism creating more differences than unity and harmony therfore this disastrous state of hatred and suspicion in the place of love and faith

In full agreement with what Gopika ji said, religion is only an instrument to put a man in right path which takes him to his ultimate goal i.e. God. Also as Gopika ji said, if a man has compassion and values then he does not require any religion. He is already on the same path as of a spiritualist. Because the very objective of the religion is to realise the importance of love and being compassionate to other living beings. So one need not be a Theist to have these virtues.
Anyway, I am not really well versed with spiritual knowledge so dare not speak on this anymore. But being in the company of knowledgeable persons like Jogarao ji, Gopika ji, our level of understanding will certainly improve.
