There is no doubt that money is the basic reason for converting Religion , but my question may sound wierd but why our people are unable to do some funding for poor people , people will have lacs to spend for yagas and for putting in Tirupati Hundies but no one comes forward to give it to a poor man , then if some one comes to a poorman and offers him handsome amount of money then what that poor man should do ... which is important for some one who is hungry??? Food or religion .
I strongly oppose converting but there are some fault in us to we spend so much money for Ganesh Chavithi and Diwali if we can donate even 10% of that money to poor people i think we can stop all these converting things .... I know a student who converted as Christian as one of school offered him free education .... if any hindu school would have given him same offer then he would have never converted ...
So buddies don't take me wrong but even we should also think about spending money on name of God , and donating that money to poor . i donno wheather we can stop converting with that or not but that is my suggestion .....

Hi all ..........the reason for the below(guntur) incident is simple.......christian missionaries might have given them lots of money to do such things.
Chirstian missionaries (most of them) are there in India to convert people......ado shunakanandam. Iam repeating again "most of the missionaries".....i do have lots and lots of repect towards missionaries which are really doing some thing for the poor and sick people.
But this in no way gives them right to convert...with false promises and hopes.
The reason which they give for converting people is that in "hinduism there is a caste division and people are oppressed" ....ok agreed this is true......
But i have a question to ask " my servant maid was converted to christianity with the promise that she would be able to have children....good she converted and with in two months her husband died and she remained like that . She belonged to an oppressed community and with all zeal and enthusiasm they successfully converted her.
Poor one she was hoping that her situation will start improving .......result.....she lived in the same old hut, she was not allowed to sit beside the class people in gudi(church), no one came to her hut and no one (class opposing christians) drank from her glass. She remained as a christian through out her life but with no improvement in her lifestyle.
This is not the story of just one person but story of hundreds who are being converted . Its not wrong to have faith or support a religion but its definitely wrong to criticize other religions and religious gods. I have the spirit of accepting Jesus Christ as a saint and as a great humanbeing and i don't hesitate to go to a church and light candles on christmas day....coz iam a true Hindu and that is the greatness of my religion.
Sad part is my friends, colleagues don't have the spirit let alone entering a temple but even eating some thing prepared with coconut on the pretext that i might have offered it to God. Howzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz that?????????

What happened in Guntur Dt. last week is shameful and deplorable. Four persons including three women started abusing, kicking and cursing started destroying Hindu gods' photos and idols shouting they are getting converted and only HE can save the world. He means Jesus Christ. Is this for what Christian Missionaries are in India for? Why is the Indian government extending reservations to people like these? PERHAPS IT IS JUST NOT 'TALIBAN' WHICH SHOULD BE DESTROYED!

Well All (this is meant to),
I am really suprised to see the hatred projected here, just because I opine agaist a majority....Is this a way a person got to respond?
I found a lot of contradictions in some people.....
a) Some talk about Samskaram, they themselves cant show it properly
b) Some claim to be good citizens who cant respect people of other religion
c) Some talk about the greatness of Hinduism forgetting to implement what it teaches.
I pity!!! :-)
And to all who are thinking they achived something showing their hatred.... no they dint........better luck next time! :-)

see hindus r indians and indians r hindus.
dont think like that. then people who stays in hyd all telugu only or stays in bangalore r kanadigas only. so ur assumption and interpretation is wrong. so people staying in india with other communities not belong to this. when its true hindu people staying in other countries are also they will think in same way.
