| it depends on browser which you are using. However when you click on the picture it will ask save or open in window! if you check in yahoomail the picture is downloaded along with an email same is not possible in hotmail. I think you need to keep certain option if available in IMAP server.
but I advise you let it go through, virus can, otherwise some times system crash and losing all data stored on the system.
