| Apart from that even householders too pass through that parivrajaka state called in common terms as vaanaprastaa asrama which is the last culminating stage after fulfilment of lif's duties and so every one will get a chance to practise the method to attain the ultimate bliss!
Posted by: Mr. jogarao pilla At: 28, Sep 2003 2:14:33 PM IST our puraanas say that grihastha asrama is a phase of life in which one starts to realise the harsh realities of life since the very purpose of all this is to get back to our original state.and the great sages you have mentioned are those who have chosen that path to fulfil their upper most objective - sevice to humanity through preaching and traininig, and if they take up grihasthasram they might have felt that it diverts their mission work, and they are exceptional in their own way. But we are all ordinary individuals and passing through a phase of life which has been completed half way through and we are following our age old tradition and practise where as they have diverted from the beaten path as an exceptional individuals.
As agreed by you Sages like Sri Rama krishna paramsa and Bhakta Thukaram , and we can add Mahatma Gandhi too to the list of hous holders who paved way to salvation by their life itself as exammple to others to follow.
For example my guru and His guru were householders and they exhorted everyone to be a house holder to attain the ultimate bliss through married life and spiritual practise becomes complete as a house holder with married life and not otherwise!Anyway i feel encouraged when i know that the permanent bliss is possible only to Householders being householder myself and i think it is encouraging to other married people too!

God resides in the heart of the house holder since the house holder only faces all the trials and turbulations of life to make his life comfortable and in that process he does so many good deeds-like giving new life and existence to souls through procreation and looking after the welfare of those children brought into this world which is a divine duty assigned to him(man)
He (God) stays few feet away from bachelor because he is getting ready to take up the responsibilty soon , and God will be miles away from sanyasi because he(sanyasi) runs away from worldly responsibilities.
