Very good question!you will realise this only when you lose interest in this complicated world and develop craving for permanent happiness which haunts you but always beyond your reach because of this attachment to this material world. our mental fame can accept only familiar things and therefore if you have that inclination to get that permanent peace and calmness alongwith happiness instead of the present fluctuating internal state gradually you will develop that state leaving this state , while doing your normal routine duties simultaneously. so if you want to gain that state of permanent happiness and peace of mind you have to develop non attachment with this material world.IF YOU WANT TO GAIN SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO LEAVE SOMETHING TO KEEP THE BALANCE OF YOUR LIFE.

when would i feel that i dont need all the material things??? i am not going into sanyasam..but how can i be satisfied with what i have and be happy even without all the material things??

As long as we are attached to this world and our body we get attached to everything around but if we develop detachment with this material world and develope the same attachment with Divine world which gaurantees the same pleasure of possession with thousand times more satisfaction then we will be constantly happy even without all these material prosperity.
It is very easy to say but takes time if one has the inclination and efforts in right direction.
All our efforts should be to have that kind of insurance the benefits of which we can carry with us even after death alongwith paasing of this material wealth to our successors.

All these changes that we experience during our meditation are good for us!If we are experiencing any unpleasant thought also is good for us since it is in the process of going out of our system due to the expulsion of such thoughts during the process of meditation.

But sometimes we experience a kind of brightness or a spark inside us which is due to the clash of matter with energy generated by the mind during meditation which causes light and heat and that is the reason why we even experience generation of heat inside our system.

In fact we try to revive and expand that divine light during our meditation with the thought of the presence of divine light in our heart.but we need not see any light as such because the divine light doesnot mean a spark or light(luminosity) but beyond both which can be compared to sandhya(neither light nor darkness)
