My question is being misunderstood. The main issue is should we go out of our way to provide water to Chennai, when Hyderabad itself is without water.
The issue of parochialism is only a backgrounder to the issue. And yes.. I am a telugu.

Sorry to say this but first things first! This topic itself is vague... i find ppl beating round the bush..
remember telugu ppl were not well known before independence.. v fought for it... now today largest % of indian population in US is telugu's, v telugus now demand highest % growth in per capita income all over the country, hyd is on its way to become the second s/w capital after banglore.
all these points illustrate tht if v telugus are fools then so are the others...
some one said that regionalism helps (refering to tamils).. i protest it.. just find out how many telugus' are in chennai and weigh it against the no of tamils in hyd.. regionalism never helps... The only thing which rulez is confidence... v telugus have that.... u ll c it soon....

we are not fools but we exhibit foolishness when confronted with an obstacle.If we are really fools we do not admit it publicly because fools never accept their foolishness.It is the infra structural defect of the soil here and we have to accept the fact that we are soft by nature and broad minded too.Don't worry sapna ,we get what we deserve and we should not regret if we do not get what we desire and demand.

you are right..but who will realise what you know..!...telugu janam all are generally self centered though hard working(this is unique to our race) and always look for a soft corner(safe profession) ..it will take ages before thousands of mature heads like you take birth and work with a open mind for the society..!
anyway..things are not too bad...wht do you say..?

Telugus made great sacrifices after independence to get a separate state. This was driven largely by the denial of opportunities by Tamils. Now, more than 50 years later, history is being repeated. Many positions in Hyderabad companies are going to Tamils. I have no complaint against managerial positions. They must go to the best. What I am complaining is about the increasing parochialism being shown in giving even clerical and similar level jobs to Tamils. This is done whenever a Tamil occupies a position in which recruiting power is vested. Many companies in Hyderabad including large MNCs are evidences of this phenomenon. In one company even attenders were brought from Tamilnadu! We Telugus ahould learn. A Tamilian always tries to bring in more Tamilians. They go out of their way to give jobs to Tamils. Look at any Hyderabad company where a Tamil is the HR person and see the number of tamilians in that company.
In such a scenario it is sad that Chandra Babu Naidu is going out of his way to provide water to Chennai, when Hyderabad itself has no water!
I still fail to understand how the Telugu Ganga project was completed in record time whereas so many projects in AP have been delayed for years. A small section of Tamil IAS officers have played a major role in this.
