| SONY sells more commercial TV's than any other TV manufacturers.
Industrial , Defence, security , medical, Laboratory and other purposes there are many mfg's out of of which TOSHIBA ,HITATCHI, etc which provide you the technology for Industrial security , Processing plants and other facilities. CCTV is one of the industrial security system including for the defence to guard boarders and protected areas which was interfaced with a camera.
The process plants are continously monitoring with a CCTV where momentary failure may cause a disaster ( loke Bhopal Tragedy and a historic loss). Flare towers are continuously monitored to burn toxic gases at a height before they reach ground and kill citizens. Proceess plants like petrolieum and petrochemical they can't survive a minute without this built in safety. If not the other movement you are not there.
In India most of the refineries that are situated in Mumbai like HPCL, BPCL , IPCL , IOC one can make visit ( if you have chance) to know the tchnology that is being supplied by HITATCHI, THOSHIBA for process control , instrumentation and control engineering.

TV or Computer have become domestic appliances. Few decades back they were Industrial Equipment.
It depends on for what purose they are used viz;
1. Education
2. Developing skills
3. Professional
4. Entertainment
Those who travel more on business trips will spend more on computers as well as TV's.
Ultimately it's the question of availability of time and the purpose.
Some IT professionals feel much as if it's their property.

Watching TV continously makes us "couch-potatoes"physically and mentally,would you agree?????
Would you say that when people spend so much time watching TV ,sitting at computer, social interaction[i.e. talking to people,share ideas and experiences,expressing feeling]lessens???How does this affect people????
