Cricket and Sports: Anything on Sports | Dravid's decision... | |
| I admit with dravid's decision. Had our bowlers taken some quick wicket in that session this topic would not have been raised by many people.
But player like tendulkar can reach double centuries quite often (though it is not the case in reality).
I like dravid's brave decision and his charecter. He has never tried to deny or give some silly reasons for declaration. he has not even pointed out mangement for the decision...
Posted by: Mr. Indian proud At: 5, May 2004 7:46:58 PM IST It’s a brave decision by Dravid, As we all know that reaching 100 will take some time ….
I believe Sachin should not come out in front of press, what ever it may be such a great player should not talk about management decision.
Posted by: Mr. Nivas Sri At: 2, Apr 2004 2:46:48 AM IST Its a bad decission I beleive, Sachin could have allowed to make a back to back double century. What they have acheived by declaring? Did they got any early pakistani wicket? Records will definetly imroves the confidence of a player aswellas for a team.
I think dravid proved an inexperienced captain.
Posted by: Mr. Kalyan Chakravarthi At: 31, Mar 2004 9:43:04 AM IST Sachin stunned by timing of declaration...he doesn't know about the declaration so quick...i m very sorry for sachin he could have made it...
Posted by: Mrs. Sneha sarma At: 30, Mar 2004 9:23:27 PM IST I feel that Dravid's decision is not that bad, according to the reports Dravid asked Sachin before declaring the match if its ok to declare since they were expecting some quick wickets from Pakistan before the end of the day, and since Sachin is not that hungry for runs (he is true sportsperson, he takes as it comes and doesnt play just for runs) and with all sportsmanship he has given green signal to Dravid to declare the match. Since the last few runs before making a century/double century may take quite a time. So we all should say Hatsoff to Sachin and Dravid (ofcourse they could have waited for few more hours, but Indias win (probable win) is more important than individual performance) - Hatsoff to Indian team, Sachin and Dravid....

Posted by: Mr Truth At: 30, Mar 2004 8:40:22 PM IST Blaming Sourav... this is something funny. He is not there at that time and one more thing he know better about giving chances to co-players to shine better than Dravid.
Posted by: Mr. Sarma DLN At: 30, Mar 2004 8:32:22 PM IST I Believe It was Ganguly's Decision And Not Dravid's. I Know He Is Not Playing In This Match But It Came From Him.
Posted by: Mr Truth At: 30, Mar 2004 8:20:46 PM IST I hope he is not having the talent of leading the team...DADA is some what better...ofcourse he had the negatives as making others runout and not praising of other talents individually...
Posted by: Mrs. Sneha sarma At: 30, Mar 2004 8:18:26 PM IST individual kante team gurinche alochinchali oppukuntanu kani...captain thana thoti coligue kosamu inko over wait cheyaleda??this could be a very gr8 news that 2 batsmen did double century in one innings...
