yeah this is where humans are struck, they say good things, what do u mean by good, how u define good and bad, at the end of the day each and every activity can be proved good from a point of view and the same can be proven to be bad from a diffent angle. so how to define good and bad and how to make our life worthy by doing good things?
life is not empty, there are so many questions which are left unanswered, like the one, who are u? why are u on this earth for? what are u searching for? (human is never satisfied with any thing, always he want something which is not there with him.) why are u searching for that? is that the one u r supposed to search for? if u going on like this there are tousands of questions unanswered

But very less are like that, all are running for some or the other, once they know its all nothing then they may keep cool,
but it seems to be none like that!!!!!!!!

u r correct in indian history it is called that ur spouse is ur other half, if u are not able to be frank with with ur other half itself then there is point in saying that he or she is ur other part and at the end of the day u r bound to listen to what ur other half says.
As said by many, life is like a train journey many come in life and go away but ur otehr half is the one which is going to stay along with u forever and share both happiness as well as sadness with u and support u when u fail and share the happy moments.
Fourtunately or unfortunately, our life itself is temperory and we look for permanent solutions in this temperory life, oops, that is life.
And lastly, relations can be made easily but breaking them is very difficult, i mean the effort u make to start a relationship (ex: friendship) with some one is very less when compared to the effort u make to get detached and this entire world is all about attachments and detachments.
gods biggest gift to the mankind is forgetingness, else u cant go ahead in ur journey of life

Ms. kay the answerto ur question varies from person to person.
first of all since u got this doubt let me tell u one thing,
an human being is called the most powerfull animal in this universe do u know y?
touch we are no par with snake
sound dogs are far better than us
smell once again dogs smell far better
sight no comparision with that of eagle
physic u know elephant
like this what ever aspect u take human is weak than other animal, but only due to his intellectual capability human became the powerfull animal.
in one of the books i read, it was mentioned like this:
human is compared with the chariot with 5 horses, where the 5 horses are the 5 senses, the driver(dont know what u call in english, this is the person who guides horses) is the brain and the man standing behind him (actually this is the person who guides the driver is the intellect in u).
and now most of the humans instead of following the intellect they are not even following the brian, they are running in the way their senses drag them.
