well nothing to get offended by the lingo anyway... i have been hearing it everyday in my college... lol! gults... "gult" is formed by reversing telugu and removing the neccesary sylables... its just that its too twisted a word to say "telugus"...atleast v aren't called madrasis!...

Me too get offended by it. This word was basically introduced by Sambaris, as far as my knowledge goes.
Earlier, Telugu's were also called as Madarasis. Only after NTR, we got our own identity. I'm hearing this word "gultis" since then, and only Sambaris used to call us, not many North Indians knew us seperately. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Why US, in india itself they called gultis, that means they have brain at their knees!!!!!!!
