It is really a critical issue one has to analyse it deeply, farmers suicide along with hunger death, every day news gives a lot of stress.

I think this forum too is reacting on journalistic emotions....you just charge up the emotions and doesnt bother abt facts ....are we sure farmers never attempted suicides beofre...every year...are we sure all sucide attempts before were reported as they are being reported...may be all this is only the ncrease in cases reported than any actual spurt....and then if u notice most of these farmers who have committed sucide still own land(substantial, if you go by average land holding pattern)...even if they are on mortagage with banks...which means they probably havent tried their best to live....which means an alarming conclusion that they have an incentive to suicide,....if you remeber old days...govt. employs used to commit suicides in the last year of their service....yes we need to strive for better conditions of farmers...but before that we need to remove that incentive to commit suicide...that shld be the prime concern before gettin on to discussions like govt.policy vs bank actions, or even apseb etc...

I think we r making this discussion more personal...Let's get back to the path of general..
What kind of statistics does one need??
Every article on the problem mentions that every annum, 3000 farmers are commitng the terrible act, which is by all means condemnable, (unable to absorb it that there r some who want to get some political mileage out of it) and it is an obvious fact that this statement is often made by the then opposition leaders....
And what is the no of unfortunate beings who perpetrated this shocking act. 100....What is the situation going to be if it continues like this....
Despite the compensation, helpline....there is no stopping....

Poor publicity from the govt's perspective is all about its perception on its failure on the media management about its announced compensation package....
But many certainly feel that the package itself is not properly worked out and it is working against the purpose aimed at....
Even the govt itself got into the socks and commisioned and cabinet sub-commitee (on the compensation package), which would have been done before announcing...
CODA: YSR himself accepted that it is a scar on his governance....

Your statement says there is an increase; Woh you mean to say it should be steady?
I read one of the reason it says" Poor Publicity"; What a funny thing more publicity for sucides?

LOL, I amn't sure if people enjoy humilating themselves, but I am not suffering from that kind of any OCN(Obsessive Compulsive Neurosis)....pal
Anyway, I myself come from a small agricultural family, and we have been deprived of crops for the last two-three seasons....(loss of investment is a different issue, that being a everyone's problem).
Hope u could make some sense of this....
P.S. By the way no one is paying me a single buck for conducting any campaign......:-):-):-):-)

If 15 unfortunate gentlemen are commiting such sorry act due to financial constrains, there are also 85 others who have had the same financial probs, are the victims of drought, and indebted to others. But what is making them to have an positive view towards life.....ATTITUDE...
THis is the reason why the Govt..has come up with helpline...to change their mindset at that weak moment, as well as free from the pressures...(GOT TO SEE HOW EXACTLY IT WILL BE USED...HEARD IT IS WORKING)
We here stories of migration of farmers due to the same circumstances...they are not committing such heinous act. THEY ARE JUST SORTING OUT ANOTHER WAY OF LIVING WHEN EVERY OTHER POSSIBLE & VENERABLE DOOR IS CLOSED (THOUGHT IT IS NOT VERY ACCEPTABLE, IT IS UNFORTUNATELY INEVITABLE).
Whatever may happnen or not in life...WE HAS TO LIVE.

I think his chance came and went but he is mentally strong unlike Reddys. Keep your Maadigi Reddy from committing suicide or from being assasinated from his other Goonda Colleagues.

Now it is very clear that your campaign for whom and for what purpose; Probably or basically you hate them I think. I don't think it is about farmers? You are talking some thing different? Probably uou are humiliating the farmers?
