Software Central: New IT Areas | | Artificial Intelligence | |
| As of now I dont see much career scope in the field of AI, unless you want to get into some seriopus fundamental Research ..but I pray market picks up soon for AI. I see some prospects in the following areas for AI in the next 4-5 years
1. Knowledge-Based Software Engineering & Case-based reasoning
2. Natural Langauge Understanding
3. Multi-Lingual Processing systems
4. Neural Nets ( Not refering to the so called Neuro-Fuzzy washing machines which are neither Neuro nor fuzzy)

AI = All-Hype Ill-Vision .. hehe .. I wouldnt hesitate to say AI had been failure of the Decade (90s) ..
Even thought it made good progress in NLP and Neural Nets, it had been the biggest let-down, currently trying to find solace in the expected success of robotics - I just hope this decade works out well for AI.
