It's not the question of money because some can afford liquor, betting, racing, and other illicit activities. Crackers may not be falling into the above category. Some budget can be spared for children entertainment. If it is not safe & healthy centralized system can be used but it will cost millions including shipping from far east.

I feel spending money on crackers is necessary. Do we spend all the days in the year? Or we not wasting money unnecessarily at various times? Diwali brings joy to everyone. The moment the crackers make sound, it is jubiliation all over. The word 'celebration' holds very much true for Diwali. We must be careful enough and see to that we do not use 'Bombs' and other harmful crackers. http://www.positiveedge.biz/card/diwali2004.htm Wish you all a Happy Diwali.

Having Diwali around the corner, incidents of fire accidents and 'Be Careful' alerts are published in news papers. Few people bother the sounds and few question the money spent to 'burn' the crackers. Few people contradict and say that Diwali is the most celebrated occasion and enjoyed by children and elders alike. Express your views. Do you think spending money on crackers is waste or you feel it necessary?
