General Forum: Current 'Affairs' | Reduction of Troops in Kashmir: Do you support? | |
| Border protection is INDIA's respomsibility. Even if Pakistani's or afghans will try to enter they have to be restricted from:
1. Smuggling arms & ammunition
2. Smuggling of drugs
These are the two things playing major role at borders.
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 12, Dec 2004 7:08:50 PM IST Reduction or Continuation ... I dont think it makes any difference .. terrorists would stay as long as the local population supports them and by the time it realizes it did a mistake it would be too late ...
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 4, Dec 2004 2:11:10 PM IST It will cost just Kashmeeris only which they were demanding all these years!!!
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 20, Nov 2004 7:00:43 PM IST Now time is not ripe for troops reduction from Indo-Pak border. Across the border, Gen. Musharaf has not given any guarantee to stop terrorists crossing into Kashmir(India).
Instead he wants to use POK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir)for launching all the terrorism in to India.
It looks that the Congress Government is bent on pleasing the minority community with their unilaterial decission without giving any due credit to the opinions of Milatary Chiefs and parliament. Surely this will cost heavily to India in the days to come.
Posted by: Mr. Seshagiri Rao Ch At: 18, Nov 2004 3:10:32 PM IST It is right decission at the right time because now the winter is comming so it will be helpful to army to concentrate on the people of kashmir and militants live inside the kashmir .

Posted by: Mr. nagarjuna kommineni At: 13, Nov 2004 3:24:35 PM IST Indian Governamnet deployed our troops to:
1. Protect the kashmiris
2. Protect citizens
3. Control infiltration of militants from the border
4. Control militant activities
Now the attacks are more on security rather than civil.
We need a strong military force. Paramilitary force are scape goats. Greater force is required from the defence.
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 13, Nov 2004 11:54:43 AM IST Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday night announced reduction of troops deployed in the State this winter in view of improvement in the situation there but made it clear that the decision would be kept under constant review. Do you support this decision of the govt.? Express your views.
