| Recently the US court ruled out the case against Union carbide and its then CEO.
He should be handed over to india for trial and punishment for his criminal negligence.

MIC is a deadly poisonous gas. India is developing country so, do not have adequate legislation as well as standards in the field of environment, health and safety.
Multi National Companies doing business in the field of Chemical Industry do produce their international standards which they claim are much above any local ( Indian) standards.
It is the failure of Union Carbide corporate Safety policy and it's manufacturing processes. And the result was
1. Loss of 20 000 people
2. Above 5 laks become handicapped
3. MIC caused pollution of air
4. Pollution of UG reserves
Union Carbide is not holding the responsibility even after such a big disaster.
UC just gave 700 million dollors as compensation.
No political party, student union, organizations are coming forward to do something.
We cause many destructive activities in the soceity in the name of bandh & hartal. Probably this could be one of the valid reason to neglect such incidents and to protect the soceity from such disasters due to technology failure and non-confirmity of safety standards.
