| The president dosent really know about disposable shoes ,Idid hate o polish mine ,the ncc guy in my school ,ud to scream at me for not polishing my shoes ,I did love to kick him onhis butt for asking me to do so ,even today .
Posted by: Mr. Pit and the Pendulum At: 7, Jul 2005 9:36:38 PM IST I have "B" certificate in NCC.... but it hardly made any difference in me.....
Posted by: Raj Sekhar At: 3, Feb 2005 1:36:16 PM IST Well SDB... Dont they get time to watch Cartoon Network and WWE Wrestling 3-4 hours a day?
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 3, Feb 2005 1:06:01 PM IST I see valid logic on both sides ...
May be ... one can make NCC a part of the bi-weekly Physical Training Classes and a part of regular curriculum. This wouldnt over-burden the pupils -- and well I dont think a Kid would lose anythign if s/he takes off an hour from "TV Watching Sessions" and allocate the same to NCC.
Posted by: Malakpet Rowdy At: 3, Feb 2005 11:47:05 AM IST Did they teach all that in your school? Geez which school did you go to?
This is what I learnt from my School(One of the elite schools located in Patamata, Vijayawada)
1. Discipline:
--------------
Always ask caste of the other person.
You should flock with people of same caste.
Act as if you don't know to speak in Telugu.
Speak English in a fake American Accent.(Mandatory)
2. Neatness:
------------
The more freakish you look, the better as NSM girls dig weirdos.
3. Punctuality:
--------------
If your parents own any of Mercedes/BMW/Audi cars, you can walk in and out of the school premises at your will.
4. One's behaviour shapedup here:
---------------------------------
If a girl ties a Raakhee, grab her tush and french kiss her.
5. Alleviates timidity:
-----------------------
Your timidness will hushkaaki once you participate in "How far can you piss?" competetion with a girl being the Judge. She might comment on your pencil size, but ignore her and concentrate on winning.
6. Habituates helping nature:
-----------------------------
If you are going in a car and someone shows his/her thumb for a lift, show your Middle Finger and Scream "Loser. Tell yo dad to buy a car."
7. Improves Patiency:
---------------------
If you don't know the answer to any of the questions during the exam, shout "F*ck"
Sorry to digress.
Posted by: Mr. Naaketeleedu Neekenduku At: 3, Feb 2005 1:20:57 AM IST As I already said itz a good decision of KALAM to make NCC mandatory...
Yep, as CHAKRI said, NCC iz awesome...(Naa schooltime lo nenu Scouts & Guides lo vundevaanni)...We really learn many thngs in NCC...
Smbdy said that, by makin children to join NCC compulsorily, we R givin them more burden...Thiz iz really a wrong notion...Dendi daanike vuntundi lekka...
Posted by: UK At: 1, Feb 2005 10:12:24 PM IST SA could have posted the aim of NCC.
1. Is it for boys & girls also?
2. Two years duration has no meaning unless some hours specified.
3. NCC can expand it's service to meet the demand ?
4. NCC will function during holidays?
5. Hours spared for NCC will be extra for the students or the class work hours will be reduced?
6. NCC should pay the students for the hours being spend.
It's good if they are able to:
1. Improve physical fitness.
2. Trained in First aid
3. Learns driving
4. Deals emergencies.
5. Supports local panchayats incase of emergency.
6. Preserves environment
7. Improve safety awareness in the soceity
8. Supporting local celebrations / festivals

Posted by: chakri At: 1, Feb 2005 1:40:34 AM IST Tough question to answer .. on the Negative side I agree with Crocy guy and SDB ...
But on the positive, some 'limited' .. I repeat "limited" Physical training would only help the kids who are devoid of any physical exercize now a days due to Television
