Another thread for dumping. The readers are expected to refine the product to best of their ability. If you are able to find the essence of the subject you are lucky. Another waste management technique.

MY response ---------****------------------- You might be seeing NRI’s helping individually and /or as a group. What makes our efforts significant and impact the society? How are we different? Hope you understand my thoughts. ( mostly we have similar thoughts , education and unemployment etc..) Water the plant where it nurture and produce the fruits. Here are some of my suggestions - 1) The manavata.org is an organization between the needy and helper. For that we need to motivate both – needy and helper. Helper to help more – needy – prosper with the help that he/she is getting and he should be able to stand on his legs and help others. How ‘helper’ help more – We have to have right plan - Everyone should know, we are actively doing it Setting the goals , reaching it. Tell back to people that we did it. We need to communicate between whom ever helping & who are the needy – Basically need a communication channel – So WEB or INTERNET is the best place to communicate – with minimal cost. But people may not come and check our web site daily whom I should help today ? - No they don’t come. 1) I don’t have an organization – I don’t want new one and my name on it. That’s the reason I approached manavata.org 2) It is not a one mans job or one time job – we need to set high goals as an organization and achieve. I want you to talk to www.telugupeople.com They also planning for a foundation – its not good to have too many foundations. We need collective efforts. So please approach TELUGUPEOPLE.com Join with them . Please go through the discussion group – click here - http://discussion.telugupeople.com/discussion/index.asp?board=-3&topicCode=250&tc1=5401&tc2=0&topic=wanna+serve+motherland+%3F%2D+be+a+part I will stop her and discuss more in next based on your response.

What I can give to my Nation? - by Kalaam Click the link below for the full presentation. http://presidentofindia.nic.in/scripts/sllatest1.jsp?id=454 in brief - All the PAN IIT members can write a page each on how they succeeded in their carrier after completing the IIT education. 2. Each one of you can give your opinion on what you can do for uplifting your native village. 3. You can make your suggestion on how we can improve the IIT education and make the IIT education available to the members of the rural sector in the present Indian context. 4. Pan IIT members can team up as five member?s teams and they can suggest entrepreneurial projects for the rural sector which can have products or services for meeting the global requirements based on native strength and core competence. Take up this project in a mission mode and complete the project plan and business proposals and make it available in the website with in six months. 5. PAN IIT can have collaboration with CII, FICCI to select suitable entrepreneurs in different regions from the rural sector for the implementation of the enterprise. 6. Members of the PAN IIT can study my website, where I have given my views on PURA Concept and PURA Implementation Strategy. Keeping this in mind the members can suggest typical PURA suited for their regions. 7. PURA Modes ? Periyar PURA and BAIF. 8. Consider activating the village tanks pertaining to your village with in the next year. 9. Consider providing knowledge connectivity to your school where you started your first education. 10. Consider supporting the establishment of tele-medicine facility to the inaccessible rural areas near by your village. 11. IIT today has moved away from selecting the most ?brilliant minds? to the most ?prepared mind?, you should contribute to bringing the past glory of selecting and nurturing the most brilliant minds. 12. Pan IIT members may not just concentrate on only IIT?s and related improvements but may think to serve all Indian people ? some very poor, some very ill-connected etc., -Thanks

Something is always, for sure better than nothing. Good job VV - The idea of organization is – join the different forces & sources Make sure that we are producing results out of it. With proper cause and aim , goals. Example : if my ability is spending money – That is not enough to get the right results. Some one else can put efforts , that itself is in vain , if there is no proper plan and money. So by joining the different sources and with proper plan We can produce results and motivate others. It will become a big movement. More than 50% of engineering graduates has no potential. They can’t get a job , unless they struggle for 2 to 3 years to learn how to prepare for interview, what is my abilities, what company looking from me. What did learn , how I am going present. In one word, How can I sell my self. In USA, we can’t even imagine, (stressing) can’t even imagine how many types of jobs , employment opportunities we can have. – People of any kind can live their lives happily. Do you think a 10th class graduate with his skills and current situation can earn money ? ( even at least to buy his own food & cloths ?) If so what are those jobs (or works ) ? how much is the competition for that ?

Posted by: Kamakshi Mogudu At: 5, Feb 2005 7:13:43 PM IST ---- Rightly said KM! U touched the core of the solution. If all the well-off ppl take care of their neighbourhood/relatives to watever extent they can, that in itself will be a "revive india" thing. No need of special movements n organizations coz already there are enuf such organizations, most of whom claim to do "great things" but only a few does. So what stops one from picking a kid/teenager from their relatives/neighbourhood and giving him/her good education so that the kid 'll do better himself and can be a force when he becomes self-sufficient!!? There's a relative of mine who is a IRRESPONSIBLE drunkard and doesnt bother about his kids (6-yr old) education. Coz I earn ok, I started sponsoring the kid's education in a reasonably good school. Initially my parents opposed this thing telling "when their parents dont mind why do u bother and this gives more chance to his father to become more irresponsible coz his kid's education is being taken care of". But I believe "gone cases" (like his father) are "gone cases" (only he can change himself) and the next generation shouldn't suffer just bcos they are born to a irresponsible parent. I decided that I would sponsor the kid's education to whatever extent I can. Iam doing that now and I feel good coz I know I'll bring some GOOD change in the kid's life and in my very own neighbourhood. Viswajit.
