Software Central: Windows OS | Frontpage 2003: .htaccess files. | |
| Yes. I delete them. But when republish, the .htaccess files are created again. It is not choosen deliberately, but somehow the settings are such. How to nullify those settings and where? I could not figure out.
Is there any way, to nullify the 'default' property of generating .htaccess file?

Microsoft has no such thing as .htaccess. But when you use FP, it generates one by default. You might be wondering why FP generates one when MS doesn't use its functionality? It's just a .cfg file. What a likely name for a .cfg file huh? :)
If you want to use .htaccess to restrict user access to your site, DO NOT make changes to .htaccess using FP. Use any other editor.
If you really do not want to see all FP extensions, use FTP to place files on Server instead of FP. Good Luck.
