Whyte and Mackay has announced the sale of the last bottle of The Dalmore 62 Year Old for a price exceeding £30,000, making it the world’s most expensive whisky.
The whisky was derived from rare spirits from 1868, 1878, 1926 and 1939, and was finally finished in Orloroso ‘Mathusalem’ sherry butts.The sale was made by The Whisky Exchange to a private collector.
The Whisky Exchange supplied the bottle to Pennyhill Park Hotel in Surrey, United Kingdom.
A private collector and patron of the hotel acquired the bottle of The Dalmore 62 Years Old for a price exceeding £30,000 and also purchased a bottle of The Dalmore 50 Years Old
