I faintly remember that such a ruling was given 4 or 5 yeras back. There was much talk on that topic in those days and also there was a semblance of following it for few days only. As you know, public memory is poor & I am one among them. I request some others to help us by giving more details.

Remember to what extent the dictum of Supreme Court on 'Encroachment of Foot-paths' is being implemented! Let us hope at least this ruling will make us 'awake' - not due to loud speakers

What is the objective of using the Loudspeaker? To convey that " HI guys, i am awake, so should u all be" I won't allow you to sleep in peace? SC ruling will prevail, I suppose. No more of loudspeaker after 10 pm.

Loud speakers are the best tools for any Politician. In Tamilanadu you can't get it unles it as booked in advance. AP & Tamil Nadu are the max users of loud speakers for any occassion. If there is no occassion the owner uses for the sake of Publicity in Public.

I welcome the guidelines issued by the Suprem Court On Monday , restricting the use of loud speakers in public places at nights. Few years back when I was in Hyderabad.. I just requested the party which was playing songs to reduce the volume.. There was a fight for an hour.. No body hears..particularly when there is a mob....
