General Forum: Govt. and Politics | How many of our voters know that today's Congress-I is not the real Indian National Congress? | |
| 'India is India' - DK Baruah in 1970's
The suffix 'I' stands for Indira.
So Cong-I is Indian National Congress?
Are things so simple?
(The 'real Indian National Congress' was that headed by Mr. Brahmananda Reddy (1978). He expelled her from the real Congress party. Later abandoned that party, by joining the party founded by Indiramma.)

Posted by: DoBoy At: 31, Jul 2005 3:43:11 PM IST It is unfortunate that today's Congress-I is posing as if it is the real Congress party founded in 1885. It was founded by Indira Gandhi around 1978, which means it is not the original 'Indian National Congress'. (They are of course using the suffix 'I', which goes unnoticed by many.) This party is boasting that it had participated in 'Freedom movement' and so on. How can be the people be 'educated' in this regard?
