you said "Had it been there in place, I don't think it would have been a menace".
So that is the point now we need to concentrate. How to avoid it, whether by concentrating on growth or on how to make use, as you said?

Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 10, Aug 2005 3:16:05 PM IST I think some part of population would have unplanned by the couples, as they are either unware , else have not taken enough of precuations to space children. Since, we already have a good population, we need to c how best we use them in different areas
Posted by: DoBoy At: 10, Aug 2005 11:43:42 AM IST It is a bitter fact that our country's progress is being more than off-set by population growth, which is taking place by leaps & bounds in an unchecked manner.
One method is to punish the 'contributors' by way of 'disincentives'. China adopted this method successfully. For some period, they stopped giving proportional rations to those families having more than one child.
Another method is some sort of 'social humiliation' of families having more children by way of not inviting them to social gatherings, public functions etc.
Posted by: SATYA RAMA PRASAD KALLURI At: 10, Aug 2005 10:06:53 AM IST As every one of you know, there are many problems revolves around population. So few of the question related are..
1. Why the population grown like that when compared to other countries?
2. How to control Population growth?
3. What are the consequences if we do not control it?
4. Who can bring awareness of it?
etc, etc...
why don't you discuss on it?
Thanks,
Bhoopal.
