General Forum: Current 'Affairs' | Rising prices of Oil | |
| Petroleum it's not petrol.
Crude Oil costing $65 per barrel.
Do you know in Developed countries Heavy Vehicles like Bus are run by gasoline (Petrol). Not by Diesel. And where as power stations use Natural Gas (combustion engineering - ABB and Rolls Royce)for the production of electricity and potable water.
Our consumtions are very low compared to them.
At present we have also lost our inhouse production of Crude oil (around 40% of our total requirement) with the explosion at Bomabay sorry Mumbai High.
Still we export diesel to our neighbours at a reasonable price.
USA already made a research for the use of BIO - Gas Plants(Ethonol)and found it's not cost effective.Ethonol consumes what it produces. And it's true in our country many plants were established but how far they were successful one has to findout.

2) Many parents are also encouraging their children to learn driving from a very early age.
3) Instead of demanding for better and meaningful transport, people are also coming forward to have their own vehicles.
It is not 'Use less fuel'. In most of the situations we are going for 'useless' fuel in the real sense.
A diesel vehicle can carry more people per unit of fuel burnt,
compared to petrol. (not only by 'price' but also by 'value')
Then, how many of us have patience to think together?
